A closed community for the most senior board members and leaders
The 350 Club is the closed community for board members and leaders of the largest global companies, enabling them to meet and message privately, share learnings and progress board careers. It has more than 1,000 members, with board and executive committee members from 97% of the FTSE 100, and board members from 90% of the FTSE 250, as well as leaders of some of the largest privately held groups.
The Club community also includes many members based outside the UK, with board representation from 23% of the CAC 40, 22% of the Euronext 100, 15% of the DAX, 10% of the S&P 100, 5% of the BEL 20 and 3% of the Hang Seng. This global reach reflects the Club’s role as a trusted and valued community for senior leaders of the world’s most significant listed and private companies.
It was created to enable its members to more easily be able to compare notes and share learnings about shared concerns across sector. It is a highly unusual community, both for its reach and seniority and for its privacy. It operates under the Chatham House rule, has no solicitation or advertising.
Founded in 2020 by Marianne Macdonald, a former board headhunter at The Zygos Partnership, as well as allowing its members to share learnings across sector it also connects members with each other, to leading board headhunters, and the best selection of commercial NED opportunities. The Club is not a recruitment platform but a private professional community which actively supports the board headhunter ecosystem to members’ benefit. Its private cutting edge board event are considered both cutting edge and high quality and are hosted by members and a curated group of blue chip partners to support member insight and networks, including Advent International, Egon Zehnder, BCG, Capgemini, Panmure Liberum, Latham & Watkins and AlixPartners. its small group of the best advisory firms in the world, and occasional leading experts.
Membership is free to eligible individuals.
The Club also works with FTSE 350 organisations to support the board and non-executive readiness of their leaders, drawing on its sister platforms and exceptional board and partner network. These programmes help equip senior executives with the insight, relationships, and confidence required to step into board roles effectively from day one.
Sister platforms include The Board Directory, the unique central database with members representing 63% of FTSE 100 boards and 63% of FTSE 250 boards, searched privately by leading search firms internationally to identify non-executive talent. Membership is available for a small subscription to board members and leaders of the largest companies globally, professional services partners and leaders and those heading government, arts, military, media, academic and not for profit organisations. The 1000 Club, the event and education platform for senior leaders and board members creating or expanding a portfolio career, is also a sister platform. Designed to fill the gap for sophisticated board-level education for large scale, global leaders, it offers bespoke interactive half day board workshops on quantum, cybersecurity and AI given by IBM at its Innovation Studio in Waterloo and private connections to, and insight from, the most senior Chairs, board members and board headhunters.
The backbone of the 1000 Club is a private yearlong series of events, starting in January 2027. The event programme changes annually but is always focused on the topics most relevant for this group. Additional benefits include:
